it was a really good page turner. it had really good twists in it and kept you guessing in some parts. I love the characters to.
Not my favorite Shayla Black book. The characters were hard to believe, it all seemed a bit rushed and unreal. Everything was way to quick, the revenge the trust the falling in love......the only good hinge was the twist on the stalker, didn't see that coming.
As crazy as it sounds, I almost cried at the end of this book. A-MA-ZING! This book has everything I was looking for
So many things I could say about this book, Morgan O'Malley a cable sex talk show host, has a stalker and on the way to study up on her new season of Turn me on she meets Jack Cole, Bodyguard and Dominant. And though Jack sought her out for another reason he cant help but protect her and maybe teach her a thing or two. Loved it, wont say more as there are many already, but I did love it. It was my first ever Shayla Black book and if this is any indication of her writing it wont be my last!
Wow.. This was bad...Really bad...The plot didn't make sense. Characters were pathetic (actually that's probably a compliment). Writing was mediocre at best. Yuck.
I mostly enjoyed this. What bothered me was the whole thing with the fmc and her brother pretending they're engaged. It just caused unnecessary issues. There was already enough going on imo. Also I could've gone without the mmc's scent including swamp smell lol.
I just wanted to strangle him with my bare hands.... What kind of moron does that to a girl ??
For my friend challenge this month, we choose this series. We both have read some of the books and wanted to finish this series.
Since I didn’t remember any of the stories thought I would do a relisten.
Also I guess I didn’t review them either so this is the perfect time to do that too.
Morgan is coming to terms with who and what she wants in her personal life. She has a stalker and is seeking safety with her step brother but he is leaving and she finds herself in Jack’s sights. He is kind of the perfect person for her to be with at this time because he is a bodyguard but he is he-l –l bent on revenge against her step brother. Unfortunately Morgan is oblivious.
I enjoyed most of the book the one part that I was like scratching my head was the “missionary vanilla stuff” it felt like it was all a show. Like he can’t speak she can’t speak while having missionary I think it was a little manipulative on Jack’s part. And when Morgan finally opens up about what she wants he also freaks out and makes her feel bad for having her wants. So I wasn’t a big fan of Jacks there.
The ending was great. I liked the narration but I really think these books would be way better with a male’s voice maybe Duet or Dual narration.

Three days. I'm a slow ready so if I read a book in three days until the earliest hours of the morning, it means that I not only loved the book, but I feel in love with the characters, the story and the overall feel of the book. Suspense, drama and a lot of sex is what I loved most about this book! I will say, that while I did appreciate Morgan's independence, she did reach a certain level of annoyance when she refused to admit that she could be submissive. At one point, I think I even called out, "Oh come on gurl, just give in and live already!" But - Jack was persistent and I loved how to acknowledged her apprehension, but at the same time keep the possibility in the forefront of her mind. And the grandfather - how cute was his to make his grandson recognize that Morgan was the girl in his dreams!
Overall - this was a great story and the plot twist in the end was pretty epic! Like - I know the psycho stalker was coming, but for him to come at the same time as Brandon and finding Morgan in bed with Jack AND Deke! And that scene threesome scene tho - I had to put the book down and get a cold glass of water after I read that! Great book and I cannot wait to read about the other characters in the upcoming novels! Deke - by far is my fave!
