Loved it! This series gets better and better with every book.
When I was a kid, this was one of the scarier books/movies. But rereading it, I think it maybe my favorite reread so far…
Tom Riddles diary oddly reminds me of ChatGPT, something Ginny said about always having a friend in your pocket. Of course this turns out awful for her, should maybe be a premonition to people using AI. Or as Mr. Weasley put it…
“Ginny!” Said Mr Weasley, flabbergasted. “Haven’t I taught you anything? What have I always told you? Never trust anything that can think for itself if you can’t see where it keeps its brain…”
On a final note:
“It is our choices, Harry, that show us what we truly are, far more than our abilities.” - Albus Dumbledore

I love how J. K. Rowling makes this beautiful series full with mystery and friendship and bravery!!! This book was SO ADDICTIVE and I loved it!
Cute book. The found family and the friendship in the second book is so good. But one thing that gets me is why couldn’t Harry & Ron just have told Prof McGonagall about their discoveries on the chamber of secrets regardless? Just bc the profs chose Lockhart to go defeat the basilisk doesn’t mean they couldn’t tell her? 😭Like why wait through the entite staff meeting hiding in a wardrobe just for you to not say anything??? Also kinda baffles me how Dumbledore and the professors are grown ass adults but the plot always seems to make it as if Harry and his friends are always the ones solving everything and Dumbledore just lets them do all the work and only gives them hints? If you knew all that just do it yourself? You’re allegedly the most powerful wizard and you’re making 12 year olds do all this work 😭😭
Anyway just a thought I will still die on the Harry Potter hill

Book 2/7 on my Great Harry Potter Reread is complete. Again, like Sorcerer's Stone, I am surprised I liked this one as much since I remembered thinking they didn't get really interesting until Book 3. Two things worth noting on this read: Ginny and Dobby are far, far better characters in the books with much more depth than shown in the movies. Also worth noting, I am reading and listening to these books because, Jim Dale, obviously is the best reader ever. Actual quote I said to my husband as the audiobook was playing in my house: "We can just listen to Harry Potter forever, right? Like, let's have it always playing in the background."
好看我已经说累了。
继续加深海格单纯善良的人物,还增加了阿兹卡板囚徒背景。Lockhart教授人物刻画也过于真实,学生老师都躲着走的形象活灵活现。Dolby也有完美结局,喜欢!
