4 Stars!

The writing was fantastic, the sex fantastically filthy, and the characters just likable enough.

I agree with a lot of the other reviews- Rebecca was the best part of this book. In fact, she was what made it a 4 star instead of a 3. I liked Lydia fine- didn't love her, but I liked her. My problem was with James- he was just kind of a whiny bitch, honestly.

Lydia had way more to whine about than him, past and present. Lydia completely steps out of her comfort zone and trusts him wholly, and he thinks spending the night is a big step? I just got a little tired of his bitching. Other than that, I have zero complaints about the book, so it still gets four stars. I am aware that I am picky when it comes to my men, after all. You can be an asshole, but I draw the line at being a bitch.

Disclaimer: i read this book in two installments due to an unexpected interruption. Hopefully, my kid won't get the chicken pox again, but if he does, I hope he takes into consideration my smut schedule.

Read for ByoB
I need to start by saying this book has the best warning EVER and Ms. West puts it right out there for you. This book is not for the faint of heart, it pushes all of the boundaries and everyone of my "hard limits." It is filled with debauchery and smoking hot hardcore BDSM. The book is dirty, it is bad and it is all sorts of wrong. But beyond that it is the story of Lydia Marsh.

Lydia's life was running along very nicely until it all fell apart. Her perfect ideas and dreams were shattered in a moments notice. She is a private person, with a tough outer shell. When her perfect little world crumbles new friends and eye-opening experiences will show her that suburbia and white picket fences are not all they cracked up to be. During her fall-out she winds up somewhat confiding in James, a co-worker with an equally tight lid on his private life. Lydia becomes totally intrigued by this man, who gives her nothing of himself. Then there is Masque...a man so dirty, so bad, so wrong, he is so right. And exactly what Lydia needs. She needs someone strong enough to break her and break her he will.

"Maybe white knights did turn up to slap your clitoris after all?"

James and Masque don't know quite how to handle Lydia. James keeps his personal and professional life as far away from each other as possible. Being burned once was enough for him and getting too close to someone is not in the cards. He keeps his distance, but mistakes happen...a lot of mistakes happen. Masque lets no one get close to his heart, he lives to give pain and relishes in what it does to his willing participants. He is a beast that no one will tame.

Beyond the eroticism (and there was a lot of it) this was about becoming strong and allowing yourself to break free. I talked about this book constantly while I was reading it because really I didn't know what to do with some of it. It pushed me out of my comfort zone on more than one occasion but I just couldn't put it down. I was intrigued by what was going to happen next and wanted to know how the players were going to work their issues out.

"Breaking isn't weak it's strong."

I have received an ARC copy from the author in exchange of an honest review.

Before you even start thinking about buying this book please be aware that it's DIRTY, BAD and SO WRONG. The sex scenes are detailed and not your usual steamy, panting encounters. You have to have strong will to read every single page of this book, every single description. Some of you will think that's hot, and some of you will think it's sick. I think that this book makes you all dirty and naughty in a good way. I am not into kinky stuff, but boy...this book made me feel so much that I was blushing...A LOT.

In here we meet Lydia Marsh, young woman who just left her boyfriend after he screwed some co-worker and got her pregnant. She was lost, betrayed and did not know what to do. She came to office early and was wondering what to do with her luggage that she tried to hide under her desk. She received help from the office Mr Perfect, James Clark, who everyone admires from a far. Mr Clark is extremely private and does not talk to co-workers about his personal life. And there is secret why he doesn't. A dark, filthy secret. But seeing Lydia's green eyes and so full of tears, makes him want her.

As they both feel the pull, they try to stay professional at all times. Few business trips, helping Lydia to find a roommate, James want to break one rule he set for himself: Fuck no one you know, know no-one you fuck. He wants her and he wants her badly. And Lydia wants him, but she doesn't know that under this whole composure of perfect mannerism and strict order, there is a beast inside him, that only one thing can satisfy. The only thing is: dirty, filthy sex. Breaking a woman and making her cry.

After Lydia is introduced to a special, VIP club, he realises that she is submissive and she wants to submit to two men only: James and Masque. After the truth is revealed about true colours of James, their relationship starts and James is more happy to help push Lydia to her limit and to make her cry.

This book so HOT. I never knew that such sex can turn you on so much. I am looking forward to next books by Jade.

Holy sweet Jesus. I thought I had read it all but WOW this book took it to another level. I am realising what I thought was out there? Not even close to how out there this book was.

Amazing.
