hmmmmm. I liked this book but it was lacking a huge twist. I wanted something epic to happen and I just feel like it didn't. I also prefer Fig's POV the most so I liked the beginning of the book more than the rest. Good but not amazing in my honest opinion but I know most won't agree. Oh well.

Wow. I mean, this is crazy tops crazy, then maybe tops some more crazy! I have to admit that it's not my favorite book that Tarryn has written. Having said that, I gave it five stars because it was fascinating in the way that this shit happens all the time even though we tend not to notice it. It was rad to take a peek into the life of another, and that's what Tarryn does. She always gives you a piece of herself with her characters. Not just herself, but also a piece of the people who may or may not be a part of her life. That is true artistry and I admire it. Way to go Tarryn. Now go write something sappy you sociopath.

As the second book I have read by Tarryn, I must say I am definitely glad I discovered her. She may not have a happy ending in her books but it is weirdly okay. I don't mind it at all and it is definitely worth the read no matter how it ends. Fig is an interesting character obsessive and narcissistic, She inserts herself into the life of a woman she believes stole her unborn daughter. Not wanting to see the truth about her husband's deceptions ind infidelity or her new friend Fig's obsessive and stalkerish behavior Jolene only wants to see the good in them. throughout the story you hear both Fig and Jolene's point of view as well as Jolene's husbands. Dealing with not only thoughts of Jolene having stolen Fig's unborn daughter Fig is obsessed with Jolene. Comparing herself to every aspect of Jolene's life but also her looks, Fig does whatever she can to have what Jolene has. including her husband. Constantly lying Fig convinces Jolene to not only feel sorry for her but to believe that her husband is cheating on her while oblivious to her own husbands escapades. You can at points feel sorry for Fig and the next minute despise her.It is well worth the read.

Wow.. I cannot even believe this book. Tarryn Fisher has to be a little twisted to pull off this kind of writing. How she is able to create the most f'd up character that you still can't help but kind of like, I will never know. Fig is batshit crazy, totally out there. She is convinced that she deserves Jolene's husband, daughter, and life. She befriends the family and works her own agenda with each one of them separately. Bad Mommy is split into three parts, with each part being the first person pov of one of the three main characters. Each part gives you different viewpoints of the crazy. I know that every time I read one of Fisher's books, I'm in for a surprise and Bad Mommy is one of her best yet.

I'm sorry, but WTF? I don't get it. Where is the plot twist and all? Is it sort of memoir is that it? Overall I do think this was a pointless book, like all her books are... Please do wack me in the head if I add another book of hers on my to read list. I usually choose the books by the title, cover and then the review, but this is not funny anymore. This is the third time she gets me with all of the three and doesn't deliver up to the hype. She is not an author for me. So never again. Such a complete waste of time.

Tarryn Fisher is usually an instant success with me, having previously loved The Wives and Marrow, so when I saw this creepy thriller I instantly added it to my TBR. We follow Fig Coxbury as she becomes insanely jealous of another woman’s life, deciding to buy the house next door to her so she can start infiltrating the family in the hopes of replacing her.

Although this was a fast-paced thriller from the get go with an interesting and morally ambiguous protagonist, it all fell a bit flat for me. I liked how there were 3 parts each narrated by a different character as I’m not sure I could’ve read the whole book from just one of their perspectives. I think I was expecting a really dramatic or twisty ending that never came, and the “reveals” were dropped in so casually to the point where I didn’t feel shocked or care very much.

And lastly, Fig started to irritate the hell out of me! I still enjoyed this book but I couldn’t help feeling slightly disappointed with it, so hopefully my next read from Tarryn Fisher will be more for me.

Oh wow. Oh my God. Tarryn.. this book was exactly what I needed. and that is strange to say about a book that is so thoroughly effed up and bat shit crazy.

I just didn't love the pov changes. I wanted to hear all the story from all three pov's but I feel like I was missing stuff.
