Read this book and swoon because Kristen Callihan has topped her writing again, with Exposed.
Watch as chickens come home to roost for two people clearly in love with each other for years, but circumstances and misunderstandings have left a chasm between them.
Brenna and Rye have sublimated their attraction for nearly a decade into unresolved sexual tension fueled by sniping and parading their lovers and conquests in front of each other. Exposed is a thing of beauty watching it all unravel as they have more maturity to put aside their pride and in-built defenses - Brenna more so than Rye - aside to let go and go with the feelings.
This book is just beautiful. Watching just how much they both admit how much they notice about each other while being shitscared because they know it makes them more vulnerable and leaving the other with the power to hurt them is so relatable.
I see this book as the twin of ‘Managed’ only with a gender reverasal -Brenna, aka Scottie’s ‘twin’ is the grump to Rye’s sunshine (Rye being Sophie, which she remarks how much Rye and her are both like puppies).
I could go on but I’d be spoiling you all, rest assured there are so many swoony moments, you’ll re-read this book several times like I have. I’ve had to kick my Exposed addiction by reading a different genre (crime) because the book hangover/addiction was strong.
This book IMO is the best of the series, just edging out Managed. I think it’s because for me there’s something about a second chance trope (with a dash of ‘unresolved sexual tension that makes us behave like enemies where we antagonise each other’ to lovers) that does it for me.

Well damn. Rye might have topped Gabriel for new favorite book boyfriend. He's just too adorable. I enjoyed Brenna and Rye's journey but Brenna wasn't my fave heroine.
