While I appreciate the story she shared, i wasn’t a huge fan. The storyline was all over place, jumping timelines and jumbled stories. I don’t like the Kardashians and her accounts of things just felt like an episode of their reality show. Entitled rich people problems. As a cis female I can’t begin to understand the struggle someone has with gender identity but some parts of her story feel disingenuous. She has had a tragic life of loss but plenty of love and support so the struggle didn’t seem valid.

The name dropping is real!
She's very "it's none of your business " while also being way too tmi at the same time. Pick a lane, woman!
She goes against everything I have ever read about trans people, but also saying that she wants to support trans youth. She's very contradictory.
It's mind-boggling how she can say that she cares about and wants to learn about the trans community and then just turn around and so easily dismiss the community's thoughts and feelings.
She is a republican first and a trans woman second. It feels like she still thinks she's part of that rich white male club.
This is a brag book. It read like a list of her accomplishments. And the biggest secret of her life is that she's more fame hungry than any of the Kardashians.

Graphic: Deadnaming, Transphobia
Minor: Suicidal thoughts, Outing
This was all over the place. It lacks editing, but some parts were quite interesting.

My friend Ben told me to read this because it had good reviews. The first little bit of the book was narrated by Caitlyn and she explains why she didn't do the rest of the book. That was a let down because I think all authors should narrate their own books if they write non-fiction. Take notes Tim Ferriss. If it's fiction then you're excused. But she has a very deep voice. It would have been better if a man did it until she became Caitlyn then have a woman narrate the rest of the book. So the book was alright but it could have been a lot better. Regardless of your views and love/hatred for her. Yes, she's in the spotlight for her sex-change and cross dressing stuff but that's not her whole life. There were a lot more things that happened in her 65 ish years that she could have spent in greater detail, instead of trivial, trendy nonsense. For example, I don't know what she did for work after she won the decathlon. I guess all the promotions and royalties basically set her up for life. And how could she afford all these many surgeries without working. I don't get that. I wanted to learn more of the training and competing and the steps of actually becoming an Olympic champion and how crucial it was during that time to have America winning a gold. It was glossed over.
I was surprised that she still believed in God and is a Republican. She also wants to be more conservative. The filthy liberal media has very carefully made sure to sweep those under the rug so no one knows and ruins their agendas. At least Caitlyn understands the hypocrisy within the LGBTQLIAN+ (I think that's the current initials as of early 2018. Ashley said we should just call them the Alphabets).
She considers herself a transwoman and says her gender is female and always was but she's never been a woman. But then at the end of the book she said a woman has been inside her, her whole life. Whoever the editor was needs to proofread books better.
Caitlyn Bruce could have been Superman if he had cut his hair while auditioning for the role but he didn't want to. Instead Christopher Reeves got the part. That would have ruined a lot of kids dreams to know that superman was really a woman.
She said the terms male/female men/women will go away and no longer be applicable. Nope no good, Caitlyn. They are here to stay forever. I Spanish Promise.
The tracheal shave sounded so painful. Who was the guy that tipped off the paparazzi to get pics of her then? I thought it was funny how combats them.
I was surprised she started her third marriage with actual breasts. That was queer.
It's always dumb when these Alphabets speak for God and say that He can't simultaneously judge and love someone, and that's why we shouldn't either.
Who's Rhonda? And apparently when she took the iconic Vanity Fair shot of her in that white nighty thing she still had her privates. She must have tucked it well.
We need to hear it from the kids point of view now because this barely told me anything.

This book drove me crazy! It was an utter brag book, I don't think there was one chapter where she didn't bring up being a gold medalist, all-american athlete, and Kardashian. And then when you think it would end... she randomly brings up OJ and Robert Kardashian? #namedrop It drove me crazy that she portrayed herself as a victim most of the time.
Eh
Was an ok read didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. Few new titbits but nothing amazing.
