Lark Taylor, you magnificent genius! I can't get enough of this universe! In the first book of this new series, Micah is the leader of the Seraphim, heaven's mightiest protective unit. He carries so much on his shoulders, including vicious punishments doled out by his superiors. Plus, he spent years and years in love with his second-in-command, but it was unrequited and Dimitri eventually left the Seraphim for his two fated mates. After aiding Dimitri in saving one of his mates from hell, he runs into his own fated mate. Nox is not only a demon who has spent his entire life in hell, but he bears a strong resemblance to Dimitri. Oof.

These two immediately hate each other and try to avoid the pull from fate. As you can guess, it's a pull they can't ignore and what starts out as hate sex turns into something far stronger than anything else they'd ever experienced.

🔥: So steamy and spicy! These two have some intense scenes, especially as their relationship starts with hate sex. We get quickly paced scenes with graphic details and insane levels of passion.
😆: Plenty of banter to distract from the drama! Especially from the side characters.
😭: Have tissues nearby! I teared up multiple times as these two fumbled through love and dealt with their love being totally forbidden. Like, cast-out-of-heaven levels of forbidden.

This universe is one of my absolute favorites! There's just so much to enjoy and I adore how intricately woven all the stories are. So. Damn. Good.

I really didn’t like Micah and what he did to Dimitri and Dagon and was so happy when Lucky punched him but reading this made me realise he wasn’t really the bad guy. Micah did everything to protect the seraphim under him even taking their punishment when Knox finds out he vows to make things right for Micah . Loved Knox and Micah it was so good seeing them give in to their bond and have so many standing by them when everything is against them.

I swear no one can make me do a 180 on a character quite like Lark Taylor.

I spent most of the first two series hating Micah, because he was honestly the worst. And then I started Conflicted, and in the *very first chapter* he made my heart hurt. My poor little angel baby. He must be protected at all costs.

Thank Lucifer Nox is up to the challenge, and hoooo boy does he take up that challenge! (There shall be no thanking God here, because she and her court of angels are cruising for a bruising.) I need Gloria to get a comeuppance *desperately*

No one, and I mean *no one*, can make me feel both sad and spicy quite like Lark. I literally can’t wait for the rest of the series! I loved seeing our demon boys (and friends and mates) pop up! And especially now with the topside demons and the arch’s I can’t WAIT for them all to start pairing up. I adored the angels and how they SHOWED UP for Micah once they found out how much he had been hiding and carrying for them for centuries.

Now I’ll just wait sooooo impatiently for the next one!
