Micah you have more than redeemed yourself. You made my heart bleed for you when previously I just wanted to shake some sense into you. But I knew there had to be more to your story than just unrequited love, especially since our dear Lark Taylor brought you into this world. And I was right.
Micah presented the perfect archangel to the world, but in reality he was anything but, he was broken, lonely, and unlovable. And who did fate send him as a mate ...a demon, a sworn enemy...just adding more pain to his life. Nox may be a sarcastic demon who loved to rile up Micah, but he had so many hidden layers beneath his demon persona, which made him truly see Micah. Even when both were too stubborn to accept that sometimes Fate knows what it's doing... uniting two vulnerable souls who needed healing and to experience the strength of true acceptance and love. So of course they took the long route to a HEA with many fights, arguments, and "hate" smexy times (sworn enemies remember).
Let the tears fall, take deep breaths, laugh like crazy, get angry (shaking fist at a certain supposedly arch), cheer with happiness or satisfaction (sometimes you can't wait for karma đ)...don't fight it, just let all the emotions run through you, it's the only way to survive the emotional rollercoaster ride Lark Taylor takes you on. You won't regret a minute of it. You'll actually miss it once the story is over, anxiously waiting for the next ride with Lark's next victim.

Conflicted is the first book in Lark Taylorâs new Hopeless Blessed series, and is an enemies to lovers story between Micah, an angel, and Nox, a demon. This is Taylorâs first foray into the trope which I still find hard to believe since she masterfully takes the two main characters from mortal enemies to lovers. Taylor reels you in with epic snark, then absolutely captures you with so much emotion and depth. Delving into topics of found family, free will, and what it truly means to lean on your team, youâre taken on a ride you wonât want to leave. I always think the next series canât get better than the last and Lark Taylor just seems to say âhold my teaâ and proves me wrong in the best way. I seriously canât recommend this book enough, and I look forward to the rest of the series!

Yes! Finally! I am so freakin happy with this book. It had all the feels and hurt/comfort scenes. Loved it and am excited for the next one.
4.5
Very close contender for my favourite Lark Taylor book, the only thing that bugged me was how it dragged after the showdown and resolution. I'd honestly have preferred it just went straight to the epilogue because it felt like a lot of waffle and didn't truly add anything to the story, and then I found myself skipping over the sex scenes just to get to the end of the book.
I absolutely loved the relationship between Micah and Nox. Enemies to lovers is one of my favourite tropes, throw in fated mates, possessiveness, secret relationships and that the relationship is forbidden between an archangel and a demon... perfect mix!
The cameos from The Reckless Damned and the Damned Connections series were also fun - I love Dagon's personality so much so it's always fun to see him, and Ferry is just perfect in my eyes
