Lark’s ability to make you go from hating a character in a previous series to rooting for them in another is unmatched!

Having met Micah in Luck of the Devil (The Reckless Damned 4) we know we want to hate him for trying to keep Dimitri and Dagon apart, even though he does redeem himself a little!

However, I really had a change of heart when it came to Micah! I felt so bad for him, he really was carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders and I just wanted to hug him! I really loved that he met his match in Nox, his opposite in so many ways and his sworn mortal enemy.

Their push and pull from the beginning had me pulled right in and I lived for their reluctance to accept they were slowly falling for each other (whether that was Fate’s fault or not!) but you could really see how they were opening up to one another and how their bond was growing stronger even when they were fighting it.

As always Lark’s humour shone through as well as her writing making me want to cry at times!

I really loved this one and can’t wait for the rest of this series!

4.5 stars for this!

I read Ferry and Leo's book and loved it, but for some reason never picked up the rest of the series. Fast forward to this book being recommended in a Facebook group and skipping all the other books to pick it up. I was hooked from the start!

- enemies to lovers
- fated mates
- angels and demons
- who did this to you?

This book has so many things I loved! Micah and Nox are both great characters. The banter when they hate each other and are fighting their attraction is great and then the sweetness that comes when they give in is just what you want in a book like this. I actually already want to read it again. Can the next book come out already???

"We've chosen each other. Nothing can tear us apart now."

Nox, a higher demon now topside cause of a deal made.
Micah, the most powerful angel and leader of The Seraphim.
They were supposed to hate each other right, sworn enemies always.
But are they?

I should have savored it..
I should have listened to them..
Now I have to suffer with reading this too fast

I loved this book and I wished I read the whole universe from the beginning. As someone who often feels like she wouldn’t be chosen if not out of convenience, it really touched me.
