• reading these books at 11 years old and then again at 25 was such an interesting and much needed experience 
• suzanne collins is an amazing author in that every sentence she writes has a purpose AND packs a punch
• haven't cried this hard over a book in awhile 
• i genuinely cannot believe people rate mockingjay last???? it's the best book in the trilogy???? are we ok 
• tragic yet hopeful yet tragic yet hopeful. such is life

Yes it's a tween fad, but it's well written and much better than the other fads (Twilight). I thought the first book was the best, but appreciated the thought that went into the other two.

Very original story, but the writing was just terrible ( I didn't realize this until I read the divergent series). I used to think it was the story I didn't like, but after some other distopias I read with similar bad endings, I realized it was really just written poorly. I've also found that this is the only series I've read where I've been able to say with conviction that the movies are actually better.
