Hilarious re-telling of the story of Goldilocks. I had a hard time reading this without giggling all the way through. I thought the sarcasm would go over D & Q's heads, probably it did, but they still asked to read it over and over again.
Overly clever for adults. Too self-aware. My daughter didn't enjoy this one as much as Willems' others. However, it's still well crafted and entertaining. If you like twisted fairy tales, this one won't disappoint.
Soooo funny. I read this to our after-school reading club and the kids loved it!!
My 5 year old loves this book. We own it, and she still checked it out from the library.
The story is hilarious. My cute 5 year old does not get the sarcastic, dry humor a bit. My 8 year old is just beginning to understand sarcasm, and she thinks this book is super funny. I find it more and more humorous with each reading.

This a hilarious retelling of Goldilocks and the three bears. It will have you laughing the whole time you are reading.
I read this aloud to the kids without reading it myself first, and I was laughing so hard I could barely get the words out. Mo, you are gold!
A+! I loved it :-)
Mo Willems is a wonderful story-teller, and does a great job of retelling the Goldilocks story for children who are bored with the old bears. And I mean really - who just leaves three bowls of food at varying temperatures on the counter and goes 'somewhere?' They really should have been laying a trap.

If you like retold fairy tales dripping with sarcasm, this is the book for you (or your child, I guess).
