This book is fantastic! I laughed aloud several times along with a few snorts. Totally worth it. The backgrounds also offer little side jokes and references.

I love the sly, subversive humor in children's books. Willems' books are checked out a lot in the library I volunteer in. Now I know why. Before you even get to the title page, you see the end papers...many offbeat combinations have been written and 'x-ed' out...G and the three Cyclops, the 3 Penguins...the three...you get the idea.

So here are the three dinosaurs...Papa and Mama, and 'some other dinosaur who happened to be visiting from Norway." What? His suitcase, and his bet have a Norwegian flag decal...

So, instead of porridge, they cook a huge vat of chocolate pudding...hmmm. Something's up here. When they leave, they loudly proclaim their intentions to be gone, not looking for little girls, not locking the door...

But then they hide. These dinosaurs have a plan. Their favorite treats are 'chocolate-filled little girl bon-bons!!" Beware, Goldilocks!! You are in danger!!

Funny, irreverant. With a moral to little girls who enter homes uninvited and for dinosaurs who are trying to trap chocolate-filled little girl bon-bons.

[a:Mo Willems|33274|Mo Willems|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/authors/1199684071p2/33274.jpg] delivers again with this retelling of the Goldilocks and the Three Bears tale. Instead of bears, three dinosaurs lure Goldilocks into their house in the hopes of making her dinner. But Willems' Goldilocks is wise to their game, leading this comical story to a humorous happy ending. A fun read to share with children, especially if they are already familiar with the traditional tale.

As always, Mo Willems nails it.

An excellent little read, it's a fun little twist on the classic story. Plus who doesn't like dinosaurs?

Mo Willems, the guy who brought us Knuffle Bunny and Piggy and Elephant, retells the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears but this time with Dinosaurs. The story is pretty much the same as the Three Bears story, but the illustrations are what takes the prize in this book! There wasn’t a page where I didn’t find something laugh-out-loud hilarious. Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaur is definitely a winner!

A good example of a book which appeals to the adult audience as well. I don't actually get one of the references. (The picture on the wall.) I think it may appeal especially to American adults.

Laugh out loud funny!

I thought this book was spectacular, SO hilarious!! My 4-year-old son, on the other hand, thought it was a bit scary :) Willems doesn't shy away from saying the dinosaurs wanted to eat Goldilocks, which I think had something to do with that! But there were so many things for adults to enjoy about the story and pictures. I loved it!

My six year old read this book to me and I was smiling the whole way through. She thought it was hilarious how the dinosaurs set their trap for Goldilocks. Fun book that your kids will love.
