Lane is in the middle of an identity crisis, her friends are all partnered up, her career is leading no where and to simply put it she’s not happy. This is book is so funny, sweet and cute. I loved Lane and Matt’s relationship and I just love how much Matt really worshiped her. The only problem I had was I wish Lane had communicated more with Matt I feel like it could of solved a lot of her problems from the start. However, this book handled grief so well and I love how it can definitely open the hard conversations about how to handle grief/ anxiety and for someone that deals with both it made me feel heard for once! This was such a heartfelt story and I hope she continues to write more because her writing is so easily read and I love the way she handles sensitive topics!
I would highly recommend both Next of Kin and Next to you especially if you love good easy fun reads with happy endings!

5⭐️ this story was so perfect to me. The family dynamics and the stories from their childhoods were so cute, but then these two had some amazing chemistry with each other! I loved how they were friends friar and built that amazing platform to take the next step
