I liked this second book more than the first- it felt as those there was a lot more action that wasn't dramatically stretched out or elongated. I'm getting more of a feel for Mercy and what she does or doesn't like. I'm still not completely convinced of all the other character's because I haven't been given enough to go off of, except for Stephen and the vampires. There is so much more information on them, and you get to see more of Stephen's personality.

I still really like this series and will be continuing on!

Much improvement on the previous. The writing is better and the story flows more cohesively. I'm starting to get a much better picture of this world.

The romance is a dud. The whole alpha controls my mind and body thing is a stupid plot device and if they wanted me to care a Samuel they shouldn't have made him 700 and interested in kids

Mercy Thompson is my favorite series. I love her character, I love the other characters, and I love Patricia Briggs' writing style. If I had to pick one favorite series/writer it would be Mercy Thompson and Patricia Briggs.
