This book has me thrown, but in a very good way.
I decided to try this story from my tbr list and went into it not really knowing what to expect. It’s a very different vibe and scene from what I typically go for in romance, but something about it just works?
Isis is for sure on the immature side, but she’s been burned in the past and she portrays a very real demonstration of her wounds and her attempts to protect herself. Jack is such an intriguing enigma. He’s all of these different things crammed into one character which makes him very dynamic and alluring.

This was such an unexpected treat!!! I really loved how flipping sassy Isis was. She reminded me of Harley Quinn so much!!! I loved the talking/thinking out loud quirk. It was hilarious. I absolutely loved her friends group because they were squadgoals! They were so supportive, and they accepted her for her. The only character I wasn't in love with was Jack. He was cute in how he talked to her, but meh... he's no Maddox. (I'm so upset that every book boyfriend will be measured against him. Curse you Jamie McGuire!)
After that bullshit cliffhanger ending, I intend on devouring the rest of the series.
*Trigger warning: past sexual abuse

I'm not sure how I feel about Love Me Never. I mean, I liked it and I want to know what happens next but at the same time, I'm not completely sure how I feel about it.
I thought Isis and Jack were really interesting. They both have a past that they're still dealing with, and while I was glad to actually what really happened, I also didn't love it. I did feel for Jack, and everything that happened with Sophia.
You knew something had happened with her years earlier but for the entire book, I just wanted to know what happened. It was the same with Isis and the boy she fell in love it. I did feel a little let down with happened with him. I was expecting something a lot worse than him dumping her and not wanting to be seen in public with her because of her weight.
It definitely had an effect on her, and I get that Jack may have reminded her of him. But I really did expect something different.
As for Jack and Sophia, what happened to her was really sad and horrifying. I can't remember the name of the girl who was behind it but it's hard to believe that she was in middle school and engineered something so horrible. And with what we see her do a few years later to someone else...she really is vindictive and horrible. I actually kind of want to know her life story just to see how she became the person she did. He did fall into something I wouldn't have expected just to help out Sophia and get her the medical treatment she needed.
Isis and Jack have a lot of back and forth, and for as much as they seem to dislike each other, they also seem to be really drawn together. He does seem protective of her, at least to a certain extent. I'm actually wondering if there's something about Isis that makes him thinks of Sophia. He certainly can't get her out of his head.
It's weird, because there are a lot of things I liked on their own but all together? Not so much. I'm not sure if that makes sense to anyone except me but as a whole, something just seemed off. Maybe I just wasn't super into the book. Don't get me wrong, I liked Love Me Never, and I liked all of the pieces but...maybe it's just not for me. I do want to know what happens next, especially with how the book ended. It makes me wonder what's in store for Isis, Jack and Sophia.
My Rating: 3 stars. I liked Love Me Never and I do want to know what happens next but I didn't love it.

This book is absolute trash and I love it. The dialogue tho is hella cringed I’m just here for the love story. Isis is really extra and if I met her in real life my reaction to everything she said would be an eyeroll followed by .......anyway.
I liked it a lot but if i read it again now i think i would dislike it
fast-paced
I didn't really like this.. Isis was very annoying it's like she was going out of her way to beef with Jack.. Even her trying to get him to say sorry to Kayla's dumbass who he told time after time that he didn't want her..Kayla didn't even want him to apologize so I didn't get why Isis was trying so hard... I understand the guy from her old school messed her head up pretty bad but they way someone would compliment her and she would talk down on herself or dismiss what they said was driving me crazy...I hated the end, it felt rushed and I hated that they went the whole she hit her head and remembers everybody but Jack
This story was hilarious and well-written. The audiobook is amazing, I loved the narrator. The main character is so witty and sarcastic, I was cracking up the whole time. It’s not a particularly mind blowing storyline, but the main character and her messed up internal monologue totally make this story.
This was such a good book. But as I write now in the midst of the third novel, my judgement is a bit clouded by the knowledge of what's to come and how messes up everything becomes.
This first book, Love Me Never, has a female protagonist that lures you in cause she has been some shit in her life and still manages to be a sarcastic, loud girl who is not shy before the world and deals with everything however she can. In the middle of all that we have a bad boy thrown in, some friends, a mystery, some backlash from her past and a lot of shit happening, but it works.
After this book ends, everything stops working though.

I have never been so unsure about the book. I liked it and than I didn't. And I did and I didn't.
The more I was going towards the end the more I liked it. And now I can't wait to read the next book because... that ending... that cliff... WoW!!!

Ouch. My heart. Started this at 8:30 this evening, didn't put it down til I finished it at 11:30 on the same night. I'm going to suffer in the morning but it was so worth it.
