This was not at all what I was expecting. I didn’t do much research into what this book was about before going into it. So when I was reading I was completely thrown for a loop. I was caring about what was going to happen. I think this is a book that a lot of people need to read and I believe it gives a big insight to how some women feel when going through this incredibly difficult situations.

¡THIS IS NOT A ROMANCE NOVLE ITS ABOUT ABUSE!
Everyone loves to say how lovely dovey this book is and they all show it’s good sides but if you’re a victim of domestic or sexual abuse please be careful when reading this (or just don’t at all) make sure you read all of the TWs!!!
I did enjoy it but I didn’t cry like everyone else did which I was quite disappointed about. I thought this book would leave me sobbing (and I was so ready for it like i had tissues ready and everything) but it literally wasn’t that sad. Don’t get me wrong I was SHOCKED in places. But just jot sad

<The ending had me so happy for the characters like I wasn’t mad or anything it was just like a happy ending for everyone but like IT WASN'T SAD?>


Idk maybe just read this book when you’re already sad/ emotional or if you’re on your period and you’re hormonal?

i have many thoughts! the book turned out to be a really informative piece of fiction. i appreciate the subject matter that it highlighted and really made me wonder how the ending would turn out; i couldn't predict it and it kept me on my toes. i felt a bit overwhelmed by how jam-packed the second half of the book was. i think the speed at which everything happened was a bit dramatic; i don't see why a time jump wouldn't have sufficed rather than the marriage happening so quickly. i also just can't get past some of the cringey dialogue in this. it seemed like many opportunities were taken to try to drop a saucy one-liner but i felt like it detracted from the emotional moments. and the names.........ryle...............rylee..............dory..........good lord. the whole ellen degeneres part really just is so corny i'm so sorry,,,,,,,,, so part of me really enjoyed and sympathized with the heavier parts of this book, while i couldn't help but just cringe at the lovey dovey parts. it was giving wattpad. also i don't know if ryle was ever really developed as a character? i can't really tell how their romantic relationship develops other than him ~suppressing his animalistic urge to fuck her~. like idk maybe that was the point?? what was he other than a hot doctor....mmmm she did get me to tear up a bit though!
