Overall I like the Six Pack Ranch stories. They are a good combination of sweet and wholesome and wickedly hot. And in this story the conflicts seemed more complex and realistic even if the happy ending is just a tad too perfect. The narrator was serviceable but I might recommend reading it on your own. Her voice is nice but it was really hard to differentiate between the male characters which ended up being a little distracting when I couldn’t figure out who was talking. And her narration during the sex scenes was just okay; she just didn’t convey a lot of emotion. The sex scenes are still way hot but with a better narrator they would have been even better. And this story has convinced me to take a look at other books in the series (I’ve read the first one) whenever I get the urge to read about hot cowboys.

FTC: I bought this book with my own money but I am a rabid fan of the series.

I love this author and this series in particular. The Coleman cowboys have made me laugh, cry and swoon and this book was possibly one of my favourite in the series. With a messed-up ménage taking front and centre, it was all centred on my favourite type of threesome: the one where everyone shares the love.

The heroine in this book made the story for me. Ashley is lovely, generous and completely OK with her sexual kinks. Both Travis and Cassidy have their concerns about having a relationship with another man but she becomes the bridge that allows them to explore the lust they feel for each other. Honestly, whereas both men had sides to them that pissed me off, she was a joy to read about. She was more than willing to be the bridge and then walk away without even a backwards glance but then she realises what they have together is too rare to move past.

Both men annoyed me at points in the book. Cassidy I got. For the first half of the book he consistently blew hot and cold, struggling with his desires for his best friend. I got why he was mad at Travis (pushy bastard that he was) but he behaved a little badly with Ashley too. I got it, I truly did, but I didn’t like it. Travis, well Travis was both fabulous and a complete PIA. He was selfish in the way he went after what he wanted but then generous when he got it. His pursuit of Cassidy was pretty merciless and I truly felt for the guy. He tormented and teased past Cassidy’s defences and comfort zones until he got him into bed. It was the only way to get what they all wanted, and I am in no way under the illusion that it wasn’t what they all wanted, but it still was a game with incredibly high stakes. It could have destroyed so much.

The sex scenes were ridiculously hot. There was MF, FMM, MFM and MM scenes throughout, some aspects of masochism and a hell of a lot of voyeurism.... yes, I fricking loved it. The poker game that leads to a particularly memorable sex scene was my favourite in the book and I think that these are the hottest scenes I’ve read by this author.

Overall, a fantastic end to a fantastic series. You could potentially read this as a standalone but I just love the whole lot. If you love ménage and you love love stories, I truly recommend this one.
