I liked Luke and I liked Liv and I liked them together, but I wasn't wowed with the story. It was a decent read that I enjoyed, but after some of the books I have read so far this year it just didn't keep me glued to my Kindle. I blame my last book and the massive book hangover I still have from it.
It was a solid 3.5-4 stars for me and I recommend you give it a shot. Who doesn't love a best friends who become Fuck Buddies story, but it was so much more than that. It was much deeper and more emotional than I was expecting but that only added to the story.

What a great story!
One of my many reading loves is friends to lovers. Luke and Olivia have been besties forever. They've both been in relationships that haven't worked out. Olivia is sick of horrible Tinder dates and just really wants some d!ck. I love a girl that's not afraid to speak her mind and go after what she wants. Bing, bang, boom...she gets Luke's. Now Luke, he is so zen and a helper with a side of whatevs. I liked that he surfed and I enjoyed reading about all of that in the story. I personally dig surfers.
Now I have to talk about the kinky fun they have. Olivia thought she was all "good to go" with Luke's special flavor, but boy was she wrong. Now I've read some of stuff in my days (Jade West anyone?), but his kind of "fun" is totally what-the-what now? I don't know about anyone else, but I had the song Closer running through my head a couple of times. But hey, that circus might not be entertaining for everyone, but it certainly was for this gal! Sure, there were a couple of things that Olivia did towards the end of the story that made me scratch my head. Alas, we're all not perfect and we sometimes do stupid things. But I'm still thinking about this book days later so I call that a win in my book!

I should have reviewed the books sooner, but I started a job and my hours are crazy, but I will say this is a real book and unique. It is also hot and full of love.
This is another one of Scott’s books I thoroughly enjoyed. It was nice that this was so different from the first book I read by him (Dick), because I tend to notice quite a few authors, while still great writers and storytellers, seem to write the same type of stories over and over, without a ton of variation. But Scott’s books, so far, seem very individual and distinct. You’re not going to be able to get them mixed up with one another.
I liked the characters a lot, though Liv did get on my nerves just a teensy bit here and there. But I enjoyed the dynamic between her and Luke, and I liked that this story touched on some more serious issues, but without giving the whole story over to those issues, nor dismissing those issues easily either. It was the perfect balance.
Overall, I do recommend this story. It’s definitely a bit “softer”, per se, than Dick was. Different, but still just as good.

Los diálogos y la narración fueron muy poco convincentes. En ningún momento pude sentir algo real por los personajes..
Just a little heads up. Even though we all got a sneak peek of the first 4 chapters there have been a few changes so you do need to read those chapters again. I love that this was a standalone book and that I got my HEA. I also don’t like to repeat the synopsis since I think the author does a much better job with it than I can.

Liv turned out to have a little deviant behavior as well. I loved it when Luke compares surfing to sex. Oh and when he told her to “Take off your shorts, Liv,” I felt chills. It was SO SEXY. Yes, you will have to read this book because I won’t say more.

Fuck Buddy is a story of love, healing and havong to connect with a person who you never thought you would love.
I love Scott Hildreth. I read about three books from him and I just love the way he writes his books. Trust me, I needed to convince myself that reading something different was ok and it was not only ok but it is awesome. After chatting to him on Shh, I had to really read his books. I was excited because I was reading an author who wrotes something real. He writes a story tgat captivates you but also has you really thinking deeply about his stories. There is just something magical in his writing. Just like Fuck Buddy. It is simply magical to me.
So this story features Luke a sexual deviant ( yes a sexual deviant) who is best friends with Liv. Liv is sick of being meeting married men online so she decides to convince Luke to be fuck buddies with no relationship involved. But does being a Fuck Buddy results in a relationship? You have to read to find out. I was blown away by how real and gritty this story was. I mean there was some hot sex but peel off the hot sex and you will find a syory that moves you. It moved me. There was certain parts that simply touched me and I almost burst into tears because not only it was gritty but it was truky an emotional story.
Luke and Liv as characters were so compatible to each other. It had me believing this is real. Yeah i had a touch of reality. Strange but totally awesome because I was smiling from ear to ear. Both characters had so much true chemistry that I believed it. I really loved them both. Their thoughts were truly addictive. I could not get enough.
Fuck Buddy is truly unique story that gets you excited and you just cant help but be sucked in into the story. I also ptaise Scott for sticking to this story and fighting so hard to get this story read. It shiws true dedication to his work and I loved that about him. I loved that the underline story matters.
