Perfectly cute sports romance. No 3rd act break up. I wish the brothers rival trope would have gone harder. Insta love but i didnt hate it. He falls first and harder. I liked the split POV. Obvious who was who. Loveable side characters. No anxiety.

Wasn’t bad but wasn’t great. Loved the MMC, total cinnamon roll with

this cover freaks me out but the book was fine

i enjoyed the lack of a third act breakup but it did feel like it lacked a bit of angst.

i really liked easton and maya together though. i do wish she built more on the rivalry between mayas brother and easton as i feel it was advertised as like the premise of the book but i still throughly enjoyed it

Hockey stuff…but mainly it’s all about the sweet college romance…

Iced Out by Veronica Eden is the first proper novel in a series of college hockey romance novels that cover different members to the Heston University Knights.

Easton Blake is the captain of the Heston a knights. He’s making his way through his senior year with an eye on the NHL draft…and he wasn’t expecting someone new to complicate things…

Maya Donnelly is a Heston U student with her own goals…but a raucous after party puts her on a path she didn’t plan for…

Easton wasn’t expecting to fall for the sister of his top hockey rival…

Maya wasn’t expecting to fall for a hockey player after her own romantic past travails…

Can two lovely young folks that go to the same college be drawn together and find happiness?

Join a journey that involves goat yoga, family tragedy, and a cat named Kitkat…as this novel also sets up a number of other romantic stories among the hockey team…

Sexy times start on oage 156.

I highly prefer this series as far as hockey romance goes. Might need to continue it…

2 Stars = It was okay, pretty forgettable, and I would not recommend to others

I absolutely devoured this book. I couldn't put it down. Easton Blake is definitely my new favorite hockey boyfriend. He's as top tier as they get.

Iced Out is a college hockey romance. Easton and Maya were so cute, I'm still not over it. Maya Donnelly is Easton's rival's sister. Her brother plays for a different school but Maya goes to Heston U with Easton.

Easton definitely falls first and hard. Maya was so focused on her goals to graduate early and didn't have the best history with hockey players in the past which made her hesitant to give him a chance. Easton was persistent though and so incredibly thoughtful and sweet. He just wouldn't give up but at the same time made sure he wasn't actually bothering her or making her uncomfortable in his pursuit.

There's something so relaxing about going into a book knowing there's no third act break up. I felt like I could just kick up my feet and enjoy the ride. And while there is no internal conflict because these two know how to communicate like real adults, there were still external conflicts that kept the plot interesting.

This is definitely more of a slow burn but I thought the pacing was perfect for the story line. The spice was also so good. Iced Out, is no doubt, a top read for me.

Highly recommend if you like:

Rival's sister
Hockey romance
Boy obsessed
He falls first
No third act break up

I received an arc for this in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to Veronica Eden for sending it to me!
