Romance, action, many plot twists. Charming, exciting, fast paced, heart breaking shocking. Best. Book. I've. Ever. Read.
The first Star Wars novel I've read! What a great time. If I read this book a couple of years ago, it wouldn't have been as enjoyable because I wasn't as invested in this franchise back then as I am now. All the little references, 'easter eggs', call backs to parts of the series was so enjoyable - made more so by the fact that I could pick them without having to Google to make sure I knew I was right. I loved Leia before but now I think I love her a little bit more.
It was a good plot, light, and a little predictable at some points but then that's what Star Wars is - how many Death Star sequences have we had? And yet we still enjoy it. Claudia Gray portrays Leia perfectly: the inner monologue and thoughts seemed so accurate to her character, it is a wonderful thing Claudia Gray has done.

As a Star Wars and YA fan I really enjoyed it. I loved following Leia so closely, especially as she learns of the growing Rebellion, and I love watching her make diplomatic efforts, and who doesn't want more subtle instances of Leia's latent Force abilities?
I could've used more Amilyn Holdo, but the budding romance with Kier was a sweet inclusion. Solid Star Wars read.

Claudia Gray has gotten pretty good at Leiaing, and I loved teen Amilyn Holdo as Star Wars’ Luna Lovegood
Another tremendous Leia novel from Claudia Gray! It made me want to re-read Bloodline all over again. The situational irony was treated with gorgeous finesse that added to the story rather than divide from it. My only complaint was that the character of Kier was sorely underdeveloped and I didn't particularly care for him as a result. But other than that, it was a tremendous novel and one that I enjoyed reading throughly.

Claudia Gray has done it again. It's really nice to see how she writes Leia ant two different moments in her life. In Bloodline we see Leia as she grows to be. A Leader, a General. In Leia, Princess of Alderaan we see her on the cusp of adulthood. Where she is faced with some of her earliest challenges which shape and determine her identity in the original trilogy and beyond.
I particularly liked that we met the future Vice Admiral Holdo who is a great character in the latest film The Last Jedi.
If you like Star Wars you will like this book.

It is very late at night but I wanna say that Claudia Gray is a phenomenal writer and I love Leia.

Oh my god I think Claudia Gray wants to end me. This was SO GOOD. A worthy companion to Bloodline and Leia in general. Those last few sentences though? Absolutely cruel. I am a wreck. Leiaaaa ❤️
