Enjoyed this one. I like having something to piece together in my mind, and this did it quite nicely. I was a tad disappointed that I figured it out about halfway through and ended up being right. I really love it when I didn't see the end coming at all! At any rate, this novel was an interesting study in identity and memory and family relationships. The pace and intrigue accelerated the more I read.

Picked up this book when it was new in 2007/2008 and it has languished on my TBR shelves ever since. If you like stories about modern day witches, terribly unreliable narrators, and dysfunctional families then this book is for you. It's hard to talk about the book without giving too much away. I will say that overall the characters were a bit annoying and unlikeable, however the ending helped bump up my opinion of the book.
Rarely do I stop reading a book mid way through it but I just can't get into this book. Maybe I will try finishing it later but for now it will go back on the bookshelf.
I loved it. It had a great tone, great characters, and intriguing plot.
Hmmmm . . . I'm not sure why I didn't connect with this book. I had high hopes after reading some great reviews, but it just didn't do much for me. Plus, I figured out the "twist" before it happened (and since I'm not great at spotting those ahead of time, that's not a good thing). For the right reader, it might be great, but it was a bit of a disappointment for me.
Kind of confusing timeline to follow but a good story.
OMG! What an ending! I can't say what I want to without giving anything away. I had some trouble getting into the story, but once over the hump, I didn't want to put it down. I almost want to reread the book to see if I can make sense of the ending in my own perspective (if that makes sense).
