I wanted to like this more than I did. I was entertained, and I loved the premise. I think it was a great concept. And I liked the writing AND the format. So I'm not quite sure what fell short for me. It just didn't blow me away, but what a different and unique little book with a great message.

The chapter with the TV show is the most disgusting one. Before that, you hear the painful reality of the abused men in the previous chapters - you see how what happened to them shattered their identity, broke them from the inside. And then comes that chapter, where these vile women laugh and debate the crimes, making sexual jokes and allegations. Honestly? I wanted to throw something.
The book itself is raw, intense, and thought-provoking. The audiobook makes it even better - so many different voices and formats, the whole mixed-media vibe really pulls you in.
What worked so well for me is that it didn’t just flip the script (men as victims, a woman as the predator), but the way the story was told. It’s poetic at times, sharp at others, and nails the tone of social and traditional media. And it gives the victims a real voice.
