I adore Mary Warren books because the writing and the settings are like a warm hug. It’s all the things that are familiar and adored by the nostalgic me. Poppy’s book is like a sexy hallmark movie with a plus size FMC. It’s cool to also read these books as she publishes them and see the evolution of her writing style and skill continue to grow.

I am currently reading this and I agree with the reviews about the grammar and repetitiveness. I cringed when the local bar's name wasn't capitalized on one page and "and" was missing an "a" on another. The writing is a bit stilted... I feel like the author wants to go deeper, but she just isn't quite getting there. I'm in this now for the long haul, but yeah. It needs editing.
