"A sword is never a killer; it is a tool in the killer's hand."

Let me begin by saying how much I loved this book. It was absolutely amazing. One of the components that made the story so compelling was the complexity of the characters. Each one with their dilemas and hardships that they deal with in separate ways. And let me not forget Maggie's unique voice that has a way of permeating deep inside long after the last word has been read.

5 stars!!

I did it! FINALLY. ALL HAIL TO RONAN. LOVE HIM. He is definitely one of the best written characters. I loved his character improvement so damn much. I also have to mention Adam, oh boy. Throughout some chapters he was so annoying. I just wanted to punch him.

Writing: The writing was brilliant. I love how Maggies is (always) able to give you that feeling for the "villains". You just want to pet their shoulder tell them it will be fine even though they are the mean ones. I was able to connect with most of the characters which is quite rare for me, and I loved it! I loved walking in Blue's or The Raven Boys shoes. Sometimes I wished I could live there as well, haha.

Plot: I only had two problems with this book. The first one was the beginning, which was for my liking a bit slow. But the pace picked up fast and it was okay after a few chapters. The second was Adam, I just... No. I was really mad at him in this book. Also, I wish there was more of Blue at times? But in the end I was okay with the fact that she wasn't the main point. I enjoyed the attention Ronan got in The Dream Thieves.

The second book took me a while to finish because I was listening to the audiobook most of the time and I was just too lazy to pick up the book.
BUT ANYWAY, it was amazing nonetheless!

*Rating specifically for a YA novel* Stiefvater really knows how to bum someone out, huh?

Thoroughly invested in and sad for all of these characters.
