A popcorn thriller with short chapters and steady pacing. A bit corny at times and some annoying characters, but fun as a buddy read. The highlight for me was the MCs autistic daughter, Honor. She goes on my list of favorites forever! Thanks NetGalley and William Morrow for the gifted ebook!

Meribel Mills is a moderately successful Hollywood actress who is forced to move to Atlanta with her daughter to escape a very creepy stalker who she has never been able to identify. Did he follow her across the country or has she become completely paranoid, imagining danger where none exists.

I am a HUGE fan of Joshilyn Jackson and was really looking forward to this book. But as one reviewer noted, I had to check the cover to make sure this really was one of her books because it seemed so different from her previous novels. The characters were not particularly likeable, with the exception of Meribel's daughter, and the ending seemed very abrupt. Unlikeable characters seem to be in vogue now, so I may very well be in the minority on this issue. Although this book didn't really work for me, I'm still really looking forward to the next one!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I could not finish this book. It was so confusing to read. I had a hard time following and the plot was so convoluted that I could not keep track of who was who, and which chapter was from which POV. Not a great one.

this was hard to get through. felt really slow and seemed to have soooo much extra internal monologuing. things picked up around 60%, but I could have done with less exposition. really only two twists (presence of the stalker and then another bad guy) caught me off guard. unfortunately I found the kids to be irritating. everything wrapped up really fast and we got no explanation (what happens after, more about the stalker, his motives, etc). I feel like I suffered through the whole book only to get a poor resolution. would not recommend.

It was enjoyable. Took some weird turns that threw me off but it definitely kept me wanting more.

This book started slow and did not pick up until close to the end. She is an actress with a stalker. Who is the stalker? Several possibilities show themselves through different points of view and story lines. Characters did not have a lot of depth and the reader is not able to get to know them enough to be invested in anyone. The story fell flat for me.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
