Sassy, sweet, and sexy. With a curvy witch and a tattooed guardian angel at the center and steamy sex scenes, April Asher continues to build the world of the Maxwell triplets in present day New York City where supernaturals live publicly. Olive Maxwell is the sister who isn't the heir to leadership or pursuing a career that involves physical danger. She is an academic, and moves in with a friend after her roommate starts running a business that takes over their apartment. Her decision to start stepping outside her comfort zone transforms her and the relationship with her old friend and new roommate Bax.
Witty and full of heart, with plenty of heart pounding moments, every page is thoroughly enjoyable.

There is implied history of emotional abuse between an adult and his father, and some workplace mind games, but nothing overt enough for content warnings.melist6's review against another edition

I really just love this trilogy so much. It has magic but is not high stress. It has spice, and love, and beautiful messages of growth. These books have so much personality and I look forward to every one that comes out. Following the last Maxwell triplet in her adventures was a delight and I’m really curious if we will get a Harper spin off! April Asher’s writing style is a delight and I’m excited for whatever she has planned next.

The third book in the Supernatural Singles series covers the third Maxwell sister, Olive, and her accidentally finding love.
I like the story between Olive and Bax. I like that the author made Bax a bad-boy (at least in looks/hobby) but paradoxically also an angel. Alternatively, Olive is a professor who doesn’t get out much - hence the need for the Docket to challenge herself to get out of her comfort zone.
I wish there was more of a resolution with Bax’s father. Not that I want them to resolve anything - the opposite actually. He seems sketch and I was hoping they would find something out, get him in trouble, or something like that to knock him down off his high horse. I know Bax quitting the GAA was kind of meant to be that, but it didn’t seem like a big enough f*** you.
This is definitely a series you have to read in order. There’s been some tension between Olive and Bax previously and the other relationships would be confusing if you didn’t know the backstory of everyone. The story itself is good on its own, but it’s so much better knowing the other characters from the prior books.
If you enjoyed Not The Witch You Wed and Not Your Ex’s Hexes, you’ll definitely like Not Your Crush’s Cauldron (although no cauldrons involved).
I’m also assuming (and hoping desperately) there will be a book for Harper as the honorary fourth Maxwell sister.
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for a chance to read and review this eARC.

I've been waiting for this one for so long - when I was emailed the galley last week it immediately jumped up my list. A friends-to-lovers pine-fest is always appealing, especially when we've been watching the pining build in the background over two previous books. Being inside their heads was a delight. Both of them have been the quietest parts of the circle of supernatural friends and Asher does a good job introducing them as full protagonists. As always, Asher does a compelling job sending them on their own character growth journeys in tandem. Her Supernatural world is developed but doesn't require too much exposition and the fact that it's set in NY will always win it points for me. The love story is sweet and the spice is strong - I think this is the best of the series so far.
My main critique was at the beginning there is no clear reason why these two AREN'T together. They're so obviously smitten. That's a super minor note and if you're willing to ignore that, it's a treat of a book.
