I loved this so much. It would have been an easy 5 stars but when books don’t use quotation marks on dialogue it drives me insane.

One of the narratives felt a lot more time was given to than the others, however I loved what the author was saying about desire making us what we are. I did wish there was more resolution though

I loved this book in some places and questioned it in others. Maggie’s sorry spoke to me because I was in a very similar situation with a manager at my job when I was 16, perhaps I’m biased. Lina frustrated me and I didn’t understand her story line or wished there was more details.

After reading one of the reviews in this Goodreads, I realized that I did really enjoy the book. I had to listen to it rather than reading it, which I definitely recommend, but overall it was a very interesting book. The key point that I think I and many other people have struggled on is the fact that we thought it was going to come to some sort of resolution about women’s desires. I would’ve loved to see it dip into the psychology of what these three women were going through. But as the review stated, and as I was, reminded myself, this book is solely just about three women. Three women and their story. So if I use the concept of this is just three women and their story, I truly did enjoy the book. I felt every women’s pain in different ways some personally, and some empathy. I really hope Lina, Maggie and Sloan learn more about themselves, and learn to trust the world, and love themselves enough to choose themselves and not the shitty man that they have put up with. Obviously there’s more to what I hope these women end up getting, but it would be too much for this one review. I put it at 4 because although I understand the purpose of the book, I really wish it did dive more into the psychological aspect, and women’s desires.

My lecture was complicated at the beginning, for me too much details was redundant at some point but later the reading became better. I walking on the shoes of these three women; sure I have the good and the bad experience of being one.

Nope, nope, nope... I have no idea the point of this book. X-rated (soft porn like), exposing that there are so many disgusting male pigs out there (duh!), and that so many women, myself included at times, allow these men to control us and dominate us. We let them make us feel weak, we are subservient to them, and yet to some extent we like it because women have sexual needs too. I really just felt like all of the deep and meaningful points that this book was set up to explore were left wide open. The only point I felt like things really were looking up was when Taddeo began to explore how women treat women, and that instead of lifting each other up and being each other's best advocates against the opposing sex, we tend to bring out the claws and knock each other down. Sadly this wasn't brought up until the last few pgs and the epilogue, but it was the only point I was left to ponder when all was said and done.
