This was the perfect end for Rain and Nights' story.

Honestly, Rain turned into the most badass, hardcore fmc, and I could not be happier. I stinking love her so much.

Nights' character was there. He was fine, but Rain was the shining light here for me. And Erikson was the opposite of everything that Rain was. The opposite of a shout out here for him.

I wanted more politics, but what I got was scheming and action and blood (oh, and dragons). I will accept that as a fair trade.

I never thought a book would make me cry over a tree but here we are. Great little duology. My one problem is that the rest of the books aren't about Rain and Night because I love them and need more of them (totally going to read the rest of the series though because I love this world)

This starts off right where book 1 left off with Rain being taken and injured.

Deep down I knew nothing would keep Night from finding her and saving her but I was still anxious to see what happened.

With many misunderstandings and identity reveals this book keeps you on your toes right until the end. But one thing you can count on is the connection between Night and Rain.

I am happy to say I was right about Rain's former identity just not 100% at the details.

Love how everything played out and in so happy I found these books.
