For a spicy book, this book neither “made my nipples hard” nor my “apex quiver”.
Overall it felt like a Wattpad fanfic but not one of the better written ones.
This is probably the worst published book I’ve read. But in a way that was inspiring for me to perhaps pick up writing that I’d given up on.

What a wonderful spicy little fantasy novel. It had enough sex to warrant the adjective "steamy" that is displayed on the cover while still allowing enough space for plot development. Despite being dark (the main characters are an assassin and a poison maker) it was still a happy, fun story. The world building was far better than expected with well placed reveals. Would recommend to someone looking for a quick read that feels mature yet not too serious.
