as an avid fanfiction reader, I would describe this as p*rn with plot. I love some good enemies to lovers, but I was surprised how quickly the explicit sex descriptions showed up.
A lot of this reads like a bad fanfiction, but it gets a bit better around a third of the way into the book. But overall, the writing felt sloppy. I did think the magic system was fun, would’ve liked to see that built out more.

This is solidly in what my fri3nd calls the "Fairy Porn" genre. You're definitely reading this for the graphic lesbian sex. The plot is a pretty good adventure too. But it's about 50/50, plot/sex.
Not the worst writing I've had, although I'm still not completely convinced it wasn't written by (or, at minimum, with) a man. Women do not talk about how their nipples get hard and rub against the inside of their bra just thinking about something arousing. Women do not sexualize their partner, no matter how nude, while actively trying to save their life. This could have been just as good with a quick reality-sandpaper on some sharp corners. Also, nobody has ever said the word "opalescent" this many times ever.

Graphic: Sexual content
First half was a bit slow but plot really picked up towards the end. Good lil plot twist included.
"A Game of Hearts and Heists” is a must-read!
