This was an easy, enjoyable read. It was smart and topically diverse. It did feel a little too “kitchen sink” with the number of issues that Evvie alone, let alone the rest of the cast, were dealing with. Otherwise, a good story!

LOVED IT! This book reminds me of a really good bad of chocolate; it’s meant to be savored. I enjoyed the slow burn romance and the emotional complexity of the character arcs. It’s relatable and funny, but touches on mental health and relationships in a way that feels honest but not prescriptive.

This was very cute! I don't read contemporary fiction much, and I've never been to Maine, but I like NPR's Pop Culture Happy Hour and Linda Holmes, so I gave it a whirl. The characters feel real and lived in, and I can't help but hear Andy & Evvie's pop culture reference banter as Linda and Glen chatting (even though Stephen's got more of the lived experience of Andy).

Also everyone (you, readers) should go to therapy, y'all. It's like getting a physical, but sometimes we need to address some old hurts.
