This book is like watching paint dry, but in the best way possible. It's real, it's cute, and there's some cringe-worthy moments (adding to the realness), but overall it's a heartwarming slow-burn for lit fic lovers.

The perfect little novel to read on a gloomy, rainy, & back-to-school-depressed busy weekend. Evvie Drake sums up everything cliche about a chick lit character: she’s beautiful, has an asshole dead husband, meets a hot famous baseball player turned lover (Dean), lives in the perfect house in Maine, money is no issue, her best friend is an “I would do anything for you” kinda guy (Andy) & she’s an only child who was raised by her Dad because Mom left.

Yet...it’s exactly what you expect & need. This book felt like wrapping myself up in my favorite blanket & laying on the couch all day. Life is stressful and Evvie Drake Starts Over was my weekend antidote. It is a love story, but it’s more about finding out what your next chapter will be when your plans don’t work out.

Cute, charming & totally something Reese or Jenna would recommend! Lol Enjoy!

I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars. It was adorable. Evvie and Dean have such a sweet story. It was a grown up story. It was unexpectedly my favorite book I’ve read in 2021.

Good story about starting over, healing your mind, working through your issues, best friends, grieving a marriage that you didn’t like.

Cute. Was a little slow in the beginning. Very movie like but without the corniness
