I think I may have enjoyed this more if we got more POV from Lukas. He was way too perfect for a college kid, and we didn't see any growth from him since he was already perfect to start. I think in real life, a couple like this may be too similar for long term success, let alone trying to be in medical school together at the same time. I also hate that Scarlett needed Lukas to help her have a therapy breakthrough, rather than the professional she was working with. Reads very damsel-in-distress, saved by this perfect man.
Some scenes were sweet and as somebody who met her spouse in college, some of their hijinks brought back fond memories. But overall it was a bit long and repetitive, both of the diving scenes and the sexy scenes. I listened to the audiobook on a long drive, and at times it was difficult to figure out what was part of Scarlett's internal monologue versus what she was actually saying out loud.
I'm counting this for the 2025 Popsugar Reading Challenge #37 and #38 - Two books with the same title.
