This book has some rough moments. It even frustrated me to a degree, to the point it took me some time to pick it back up half way through. But, it was worth it. I am obsessed with their dom/sub dynamic and how vulnerable they were with one another.  I will mention, the closer I got to finishing the book, the more Pen was plucking EVERY last nerve I had. 😂 The one thing I did not like was the amount of chapters. This is a personal pet-peeve. Why does there have to be SO MANY chapters in a 400 page book? 🤦🏾‍♀️

The side characters really just felt like background filler, which was a bit disappointing. I also think the book didn’t dig deep enough into the relationship itself. There were several times I wished the spice would take a break so we could actually see them grow closer beyond the physical stuff.

That being said, it was a cute romance. I definitely got giddy a few times while reading, but overall it left me a little unsatisfied. I especially wanted more from their first meeting—it’s technically in the story, but Vandy never really acknowledges it, which made it feel incomplete.

Overall, it was a fun, quick read, but not one I see myself picking up again.
