This was by no means an unenjoyable read - I liked it but it was just okay. Something simple, easy to read and an uncomplicated storyline was what I was looking for and I found that here. I felt the ending was rushed a little, and I was so close to deducting a star purely for the incessant use of “omigod”. Not a fav, not the worst, but a good read overall.

Must Read!

As a person who has suffered from “burn out” I could connect a lot with the main character & learn a thing or too as well. I’m so glad I found this gem on my recommendations! First book of 2022

I really enjoyed this book. I laughed and found it very quotable, which is always a good sign for me.

Lessons of Flexibility

Overall this was a good read. Kinda of slow to take off and then times when the story lagged with the main character decision making. Great insight to burnout and being too rigid with scheduling.

4.5/5 stars.

Life, Unscheduled is a quick and light read that tells of Nicole, a single woman working for a demanding tech company, and how she manages her life. She plans out every detail of her life months out, down to the minute. While this has worked for her, with so many obligations coming up - a potential promotion at work, being maid of honor at her best friends wedding, and maybe finding time for love? - she quickly realizes that scheduling her life is sacrificing her mental health and something needs to change.

I really enjoyed the story and the characters. I could relate a lot to the main character which made her even more likable. Although there is a romance element to this book, it’s not the main focus - the main focus is Nicole bettering herself and her mental health. Life, Unscheduled has a lot of good lessons. I enjoyed the author’s writing style and will definitely be checking out more of her books.
