Interesting to hear about innovations in beauty industry and how they aligned with influencer culture and the Instagram mania of the 2010s, but also made me kinda sad to hear about the expectations that are still put on women to this day.

I’m not sure what in this book would qualify as a bombshell, let alone even an exposé. It was an interesting read for me as someone who has been a Glossier customer since the start to hear about the behind the scenes, but that’s about it. I’m confused about the framing of this book being ‘what happened at Glossier’ considering it’s a successful brand still growing in popularity.
