Overall, I enjoyed the story and the characters in this series, but I did get distracted by the writing sometimes. My library ebooks did contain a number of typos, and I'm a proofreader, so...

But also some of the descriptions were kind of weird, like "the back of my palm" and how Vrail's leg is always bouncing, even when I'm pretty sure she's standing up. In the action sequences, I would sometimes get confused because steps in between were skipped.
