This long-awaited fourth book to the Halfing Saga was the perfect ending. While it took me a second to get back into what was going on, I could both celebrate the victories and cry at the losses in this book. I think this book wrapped up everything nicely and gave its characters a good conclusion.

I did like this series, but just like my review of book 3 where I said book 3 should have been the end unless something mind blowing happens in book 4, I still stand by that. This book shouldn’t have existed, nothing mind blowing happened and it felt like a lot of filler that could have been in book 3. This book and book 3 should have been combined as one. 

Also without posting spoilers the ending was a big cop out on the FMC’s part and didn’t make a lot of sense.

This wasn't a bad series, I just feel it could have been a bit shorter as it started to feel a bit repetitive when I reached the third book. The story was very touching though with a very satisfying ending.
