I liked the other books so much I was excited to read this one and it just felt like the longest book. I felt like I was just listening to the same conversation over and over again. I'm glad I read it but it definitely dragged in my opinion

Overall such a good book and series. The battles and ending just felt a bit rushed and I think it could've been stretched to two books. But it was so beautiful. Literally sobbed my eyes out.
I WILL NEVER GET OVER THE FACT THAT SHE GOT TO SEE BRENNA AT THE END. AND THE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT BETWEEN BRENNA AND RIVEN. SOBBING.

This was much different than the series’s we started with, still good, I wish we had more together growth between riven and Keara, and got to see them support eachother instead of all this space it just felt the last book over again. The ending was good, and the series wrapped up well.

Our time with Keera has come to an end and sadly, I hoped for more.

Over the course of four books we have seen Keera endlessly self destructive, doing anything she can for the ones she loves, and be willing to die seemingly for any reason. In An Honored Vow Keera along with her allies and elders have to find a plan to defeat Damien and a new flying enemy that terrified their Fae ancestors.

As a reminder for what I am about to say: I LOVED this series, it made me laugh, made me cry, made we want to shake certain characters. I will continue to recommend this series in the future. With that being said, I got extremely tired of the lack of communication or just straight up miscommunication. Everything would have been so much EASIER if the characters that are apparently close just TALKED. I understand it made the story more intersting, but at a certain point it felt lazy. After Riven's secret is reveals it also feels like the spark between him and Keera goes away. There is still romance between the two, but it doesn't feel the same as the previous books.

Finally, I wanted more from the wrap-up. We spend over a thousand pages with these characters and we don't get to see much of what happens to the world after? I am INVESTED, so I wanted to know more about how the characters and the kingdom dealt with the after effects of the war.
