Yeah so I honestly dont have much else to say at this point, which is unusual but, just read the series. Series like this feed my inspiration to keep writing when I wanna quit. The parallels to colonization and then the war against it and the ending was just absolutely stunning. The prose is simple and easy on my brain but beautiful and profound. THE MAGIC IS SUPER SICK!🔥 THE FINAL BATTLES! SIIIICK🔥Like YES! But the author is so consistent with holding the attention of the reader and THE CHARACTERS are so beautifully developed and complex. I love Kerras character arc and her complexities🥹 MY SHAYLA! This is what I want to see. I can’t wait to see more from this author because boy oh boy do we need authors like this to shine their light in the darkness we’re in today and not only that but to encourage others to do the same. Anyways I’m gonna go cry again. No I don’t often cry at books but this book and the last book has been reeeeealllll tear jerkers. 7/5 stars. Standing ovation. 👏🏾

definitely not a perfect serious by any means, and a little silly sometimes, but a very beautiful story about reclaiming the land and living with grief. i wish we got to see more moments of rebuilding and what newfound freedom looked like, but still a nice hopeful ending albeit a bitter sweet one

It’s probably a 4.75 for me, but I’m so sad this series has come to an end so five stars it is! I love love love Blair and the world she created in these four books. The voice is uniquely Keera’s and it’s a fantasy book without giving into every single fantasy trope authors are expected to tie in these days for BookTok. If you want some light romance, but primarily a beautiful story of winning out over colonizing dictators — this is it. I love elves
