While I have a love/hate relationship with this series as a whole, I'm pleasantly surprised by the ending and definitely shed a tear or two. Keera however had to babysit every single person in this book and that was a bit frustrating.

A perfect ending to this series! This author really knows how to get you in your feels, I listened to part of this at work and kept tearing up lol.
This author also does not shy away from killing people off so beware!
. I am so happy with how far Keera has come! Not much else to say really, just a good series overall.

Overall, I liked struggles, the characters, the found family trope, and the ending. But there was something off about this one for me. The pacing felt a little slow. I also didn't like the new development of Keera's powers. I felt like it instead of going through the struggle and strategizing the best solution, it was here are new powers to save the day! I'm glad Keera had the same feelings as me.  I wanted Riven to find himself without his powers and with the further trauma he experienced. I liked Gwen's and Gerarda's characters arcs and felt like they may have had the best ones. I also liked the final showdown with Damien and how those problems were resolved. I think if the pacing was better and if the character growth for both our FMC and MMC were better, I would have awarded it 5 stars.

Ugh. I loved this series. We had the big final battle between Keera and Damien and although there were times where I was annoyed that the buildup would start and then nothing would happen, I like the way it finally ended. There were a few characters that felt a little too powerful to me, at least compared to the main character, but it made sense. Sad for all the ones that didn’t make it. The epilogue was a nice touch but I still want more.
