I really want to see more of Nadine and the rock star...

Probably a 3.5 if I'm honest.

I thoroughly enjoy this series and the cast of characters. For some reason, this particular book didn't grab me as much as others in the series have. I felt as though someone who had nt been reading the series might not find it as interesting. I think of all the series, this one had me thinking back to other books to round out the character's backgrounds. It almost seemed a fill-in book.

Another great addition to this series. I love the twists and turns, not only with the mystery but with the relationships between characters. Character development was not a huge part of this novel, but what was there was intriguing. I really enjoyed this novel and would recommend this series to almost anyone. There is so much more than just murder mysteries in these novels, there seems to be something for nearly every reader out there.

The dedication of J.D. Robb to provide a wonderful, enjoyable story is fully evident in this novel. Thank you.

This installment was a page-turner. I found the premise chilling because it's an all-to-realistic possibility in this day and age. I continue to love seeing how the characters, main and side, grow. I am still a fan and look forward to the next one.

The In Death saga continues. Threads of people and how they affect your lives. From the most mundane in someone you may pass on the street, to those you've called friend, partner, lover, for any number of years. We see some threads tied neatly in this installment. Robb is excellent at world and character building and continues to shine in that respect. Sometimes you can see who the killer is a mile away, and yet she still manages to surprise you in some way. Other times, you're left wondering who it is right up until the very end. It's been a fantastic trip to see everyone build their lives and relationships and I always look forward to the next one.

I love this series repentantly. Book #47 and I love this world and especially these characters as though they were real people I knew and I never get tired of visiting them on their newest adventure.

Nora Roberts is an amazing writer. Nobody needs to hear me say that, but it's true, and her talent brings her characters to life using intelligence, humour, snappy repartee and really great plots.

I don't know what else to say except I'll keep reading this series as long as Roberts writes it.

Format note: I always listen to the books in this series on audio, because the narrator Susan Erickson is as amazingly talented as Roberts is, and her narration is fantastic! She gives every character a completely unique voice, and she puts so much personality into her narration that you would swear these characters were real people standing next to you if you closed your eyes and just listened. If you have any interest in audio books this is a terrific series to listen to.

It was nice to get an Eve Dallas case without a wacky gimmick driving the story. This book focuses on someone detonating a suicide vest during an important company merger. It later reveals that the victim was coerced through threat to his family and the murderer hoped to gain leverage from the event through stock market shares. A rather callous motive for murder but we've got to be creative nearly 50 books deep! I liked the fast pace of this book and the way Dallas was able to put the pieces of the puzzle together. This was nearly a 3 star rating but the small Oscars subplot was cute. I really appreciate the way Robb keeps referencing previous books and building upon them in each installment. The Icove Agenda went from case to book to movie to multiple Oscar nominations. Peabody and McNab went to the Oscars in support of the film and it was so sweet in the epilogue where the film won 5 Oscars, including Best Picture. It's just a silly and sweet inclusion in the world of fiction that you can't help but adore. Looks like you can add faux Oscar winner to Eve's ever growing list of accolades.

Loved it. J.D. Robb is one of my favorite authors. I have read every book in this series many times. I love how the books are not repeated like some authors of ling running series do. Each book is a very good addition to the series. This one has to be in my top 5 favorites in the series!

Well its 47 books in now,and somehow Robb still manages to come up with fresh stories that entertain and keep you hooked. The case was interesting, the banter between Eve and co was hilarious and Eve and Roarke are still one of my favourite fictional couples ever. Keep up the great work Nora 😉
