This book absolutely smashed my heart AND made me so hopeful for how we can all grow, and we are all worthy of both second chances and love. I only wish we had been shown more about Eva’s family and research.

3.75🌟i'm so sad... i was so sure this was going to be 5🌟 for me! i still really liked it but i struggled to get into it because it jumped around perspectives so much and the ending was rushed i needed more from it. i think it'd have really benefited from being 100 pages longer. what i loved so much however was the depiction of chronic illness... as a girl who has struggled with severe pain her whole life and never been listened to properly i felt this to my core!

i'm slowly trying to get more into reading and appreciating romance as a genre, and ohhh i'm so glad i picked this one up. the characters and the world feel so lived in and the yearning between the main characters is so well-written. i'm definitely excited to read more from tia williams!!

Highly recommend the audiobook; the expert narration compelled me to continue when the plot became tense. This is an amazing, raw, earnest, hopeful story of love in its multiple forms.

 Loved this. I lost count of the amount of great quotes in this book. The characterisation of the two main characters was so well executed. The flashback chapters hooked me and gave the book a particular rythm that was very pleasant. I laughed out loud, teared up and was surprised more than once.
