I really liked Eva and Shane, they were real, raw, and I would prob fall in love with them too. I liked that they both had growth outside of each other and that you get at least glimpses of that growth both internally and externally. I also lived for their absolute insane love lmao, from the teens that have no one that instantly bond to each other to grown adults that still feel that same pull but not in a what we had way instead it is a oh I loved u them and I love u now.
This is one of those love stories where u get a tight feeling in your chest at the sad parts and u can't stop giggling at the good ones. I liked the soul that this book has, it is not just a superficial love story it has depth and makes u think and it is not afraid of touching sore subjects.
I liked the format and I think it actually added a lot to the story to have those flashbacks scenes and the different perspectives, and even better I actually wanted to read from both pespectives it wasn't a book where I wanted to skip ahead either of their chapters.
Negatives: eh some cringy bits (some dialogue and some of the descriptions are a bit try hard?) and god was her kid annoying, which I think is part just being 12 is like that but I was over it am sorry.
In hindsight, kinda funny that from the last chapter to the epilogue is just like what 2 months

While this book held a lot of trauma, it somehow lacked depth for me. Perhaps a trauma bond just wasn’t enough. Nonetheless I did find many of the characters lovable and I do think the story will translate well to the screen. Though, I still think it would be better on the big screen than the small screen. We shall see!
