Nite: Fire: Flash Point by CL Schneider is a supernatural shifter book. This book has action, mystery and suspense. This story is about someone who has had to leave their home to protect their safety but when things lead back to home, things may never be the same again. One thing that I enjoy about this author is her creativeness to write stories that are full of fantasy. I enjoy her character development and characters that you will sincerely enjoy. These characters will take you on a journey between two worlds where humans and the supernatural collide. They will keep you engaged until the end and you will need to finish this story because you will just have to know what happened. Find out what happens to this characters as they take you on a journey of imagination like no other.

Dahlia Nite is a shape-shifting assassin that has been slated for execution. She flees to the human world for safety. She dedicates herself protector of the humans from things they don't know existed and they provide shelter to her in return. She has been moving from town to town in search of a creature that threaten the unsuspecting humans. Burying the truth could destroy them all. What will happen when the lies are building and the shadows are shifting? What will happen when murders are threatening Sentinel City from things that never should have been seen? Secrets that have been kept are in danger of being exposed but will they come out? She starts investigating these murders while trying to conceal their circumstances. Will the peace she has found here start to fall apart with each murder? Each clue she finds, leads her back to one place she never thought she would go again. Will she have to return home for figure out this mystery?

Dahlia is a strong character that is a little feisty but strong and I don't think I would cross her. She has lived a complicated life where most don't live as long as she has in this world. The secondary characters seem to bring out the best qualities in her. You will find yourself wanting to succeed on her quest. The secondary characters are just as strong as they complement her. They have hidden depth that you will need to see throughout the book. There are many characters in this book that will keep you sitting on the edge of your seat. The story wouldn't be as strong without all of them, they just make it flow together easily. Find out what will happen to Dahlia as she investigates the murders and where it will take her. The question is where will the investigation take her? Will she be able to save the humans before more are lost?

I enjoyed this book and I would say it is my favorite of all of CL Schneider's books. I enjoy her imagination in her books. I can't wait to see if she continues this series! CL grew up in Missiori on the river and has been an avid reader ever since with overflowing bookshelves. This is her first published series which is almost finished. She is sad to see it end but is excited to see what the future brings for her. You will totally lose yourself in this book and you will find it hard to put down. You will need to see if Dahlia saves the humans and where things lead her. This book pulled me in from the the first chapter and I believe it will pull you in too. I highly recommend this story as you will want to see what happens in this new series by this author!

This audio book had a great narrator. She had a way of bringing you into the story. I really enjoyed this book.

Murders are piling up and are starting to gain a focus. Dahlia is the main character and has a sarcastic attitude and takes no crap from anyone. I love that no nonsense attitude in the main character. She is able to feel the ghosts of the dead as well as the trauma of the living. She is trying to crack the case of who is doing these murders. She knows it is one of her kind. She is supposed to be making sure the human police do not find out about her species. The story takes on so many twists and turns you are not left bored at any time. I would recommend this audio book to anyone who loves the paranormal mixed with a suspenseful murder mystery.

Flashpoint is the first book in the Nite Fire Series by C. L Schneider, and what a fantastic start to a series this is! I loved Ms. Schneider’s Crown of Stones trilogy, so when I got this book I had a lot of expectations for the story. I wasn’t sure that she would be able to deliver a story that could come anywhere close to the spellbinding trilogy. But, I needn’t have worried because this book exceeded all my expectations. It has so much going for it- there’s supernatural elements, shifters, action, adventure, mystery, suspense, drama… and so much more.
Dahlia Nite is a shapeshifting assassin who has come to the human realm to hide out after an assignment goes awry and she ends up with an extermination order put on her head. She doesn’t stay in one place for long, moving from town to town, she has devoted her time and particular ‘talents’ to protecting people who are at risk by eradicating the creatures that threaten the human population.
A series of ruthless murders now threaten to expose humans to the secrets that have up to now, kept them blissfully unaware of what really exists in the shadows. Dahlia investigates the circumstances surrounding these murders, while also endeavouring to keep the ‘reality’ of the situation from being exposed. The more she uncovers, the more she comes to realise that everything points to the one place she thought she’d never see again, and so she’s going to have to go back to where she came from in order to get to the bottom of it all.
This is such an interesting, creative and imaginative story. Ms. Schneider has once more proved to be quite a talented author. I don’t want to give away too much, except to say that if you love myths, legends, the supernatural, action and adventure- then this is definitely the book/series for you. You are sure to love it as much as I do!

Thank you Ms. Schneider!

Half dragon half human Dahlia Nite is my hero! So this book had me hooked on dragons….the magic of it all….the superb writing that pulled me in making this book hard to put down. That and then add in solving murders? C.L. Schneider makes fantasy even better than it already is!

Nite Fire: Flash Point by C.L. Schneider

This is my first book by this author and it's a genre I don't normally read but the synopsis had me completely curious and I'm glad I took the chance. This was a great book and the storyline was unique and felt real enough that I almost could believe that Dahlia and her kind really do exist.

The beginning had me a bit confused but it didn't take long to fall into a rhythm with the story. I started out not liking the character of Dahlia, the beginning made it very hard to find any sympathy for her. When she was forced to run away from her own world and found herself hiding in the human world I started looking at her differently and by the end of this first book she had grown on me.

While I am still not completely in love with this genre I found that the writing was simply amazing and it was a very smooth flowing and it was enough that I absolutely must read the next in the series.

Nite Fire: Flash Point by CL Schneider is a thriller supernatural shifter story that is full of action and mystery. CL very creative and has written a story that captures your imagination right from the very start. It is action packed with murder and mysteries and some pretty cool characters. The characters are interesting and have lots of depth and the main character is sassy, brash and loud and the heroine of this story.

Dahlia Nite is half dragon and half human who is as tough as nails. She has fled her world as a traitor and now protects the humans by hunting those who don’t belong on the human world. When gruesome, blood thirsty and unusual murders start to happen in Sentinel, Dahlia is enlisted by the authorities to help find the killer or killers. To help conceal the truth from the humans, Dahlia must come up with elaborate and far reaching details that seem far fetched on a good day. When the truth is slowly brought to surface, Dahlia finds she is the object of focus for the deranged killer and that everything she holds dear may be taken away from her forever. Dahlia knows she needs to find and stop the killer before all supernatural beings are exposed. However to catch the killer, Dahlia will be forced to return to the one place she swore she would never return to, the one place she once called home. Going home means confronting your past and confronting your past means coming face to face with ghosts that should have been buried long ago.

Will Dahlia survive all that is thrown at her? Will Dahlia find out the truth? Will Dahlia find help where she least expects it? Will Dahlia lose more than she bargained for?

The story will take you on a journey between different worlds of fantasy, supernatural, demons and humans. I recommend this book and can’t wait to see what happens in this new series by CL.

This was my first read by this author and while its not a normal genre for me to read, im glad the cover drew me right in.
We follow Dahlia, a shapeshifter, who helps protects humans. As we get to read her story, I grew to start to understand her life and was gripping my kindle to not miss a word.

Onto to book 2!

Excellent book. I genuinely felt from the summary that I would enjoy it but I was unprepared for the world that unfolded before my eyes. The author does a great job creating a very complete world full of rich detail. The characters are complex. I really enjoyed the universe the author created and the complexity that ensnares the reader. I look forward to seeing what happens as the series continues. Definitely recommend this to others.

Nite Fire: Flash Point is a paranormal fantasy by C. L. Schneider. I have not read this author before, so I was not sure of what to expect, but the reviews were fairly good. I don't usually read this genre, having felt that I have read all there was to read from this topic. How wrong I was. I always marvel at how different each author is and the different stories and varied detail and character traits. These stories are always imaginative and creative. Nite Fire: Flash Point was no exception.

To the story. The story was dramatic, packed full of action, deception, danger, and lovin. The energetic storyline is highly addictive, and this author is one I thoroughly enjoyed and will definately be reading more in the future. 4 stars.

After becoming an exile from her home world nearly a hundred years ago, Dahlia has become an expert at hiding her dragon side from humans. She works to keep humans peacefully ignorant from "supernatural" species, but may have met her match in a new case brought to her of a gruesome murder.

I received a free copy in exchange or an honest review.
I will admit now that Schneider's Crown of Stones has been one of my favourite series, so I was very excited to get a chance to read her first foray into a different world.
This was awesome, and I really enjoyed it. I found it so much easier to follow, and so much more accessible, with more defined species etc, than Crown of Stones (sorry, Troy).

It starts with her exile from Drimera (the dragon world) a hundred years ago, then quickly jumps ahead to the modern day, where Dahlia is confident in the life she leads. She moves a lot so people don't realise that she's not ageing, picking up different identities as she goes; but she is inevitably drawn back to the city of Sentinel, the only place she recognises as home.

She works as a freelance monster-hunter; monster-mess-cleaner-upper; and an adviser and CSI-type person for the police. It all helps Dahlia feel like she's still doing her duty in protecting Drimeria and other the worlds humans have no business knowing.
Dahlia throws herself into this work, to feel like she has a purpose in her long life.

The other characters wedge into Dahlia's obstinately-lonely existence, and I really liked... well, all of them.
Evans in particular is great, he's a geek at heart and provides levity whenever things could get too dark and depressing.

The plot keeps you guessing the whole time, as any murder mystery should - this one just happens to have dragons in it.
It's not afraid to be bloody and violent, and has a matter-of-fact approach to these things. It doesn't shy away, and it doesn't revel in it, it just is.
The story pulls you along with its twists and its great characters, and I would definitely approve reading it.

Next book, please.
