As most have said, this book has a pretty slow start. With that, I found myself interested throughout the entire thing. I felt the magic flowed smoothly and didn’t take me out of the story and I constantly wanted to know what’s happening next. I love a good magic adventure once in a while!!

Not my favorite of Harrow’s novels. The MC was pretty annoyingly passive, which I guess is explained at the end. There was a lot of telling, not showing. I would have maybe enjoyed a different storytelling device then the author chose to convey information.

I really enjoyed this book. I felt the writing style was really descriptive and immersive. The beginning part was a bit slow until January starts exploring again... but overall I really enjoyed it.
