this book is so whack. genuinely my most academic thought about this is: WTF??? I hope I never again have to read a book where the main character is a giant bug whose family eventually resents him for being a giant bug and driving away business, but I think it’s safe to say that any manuscripts proposing the same plot should stay unpublished. I thought books were supposed to make you think??? this one just answers the question, “if I were a worm, would you still love me?” with an EMPHATIC “NO!”

As with most classic lit, I don't get it and I as bored by how outdated and dry it was. It sucks that the main character had to turn into a bug to realize his whole family was pulling a grandpa from Willy Wonka though.
