Yeah this book got me feeling some things. I know the general interpretation of this book revolves around alienation from society, i can’t help relate to the deterioration of the one who was supposed to succeed- one who had dreams and ambition and suddenly found themselves changed, unable to do anything. How, the very people who were always there for you, slowly find you repulsive, now that you have nothing that made you stand on your own- no success, no ambition, no intelligence. You exist in the limbo of your misery and soon you will die in it- Is there no saving from a fall from ‘grace’?
P.S. Honestly every burnt-out gifted kid should read this book.

Apparently the definition of a novella is pretty debated, but one is a piece of text one can finish in a single sitting. Fuck you.
The last like 15-20 pages of this are really sad. Like REALLY sad. Almost cried.
Loved the notes from the translator at the end, and I like that I picked up on a lot that was mentioned, as well as got new ways to think about things.
This is a really reflective piece of text and I think I really love the way Kafka thinks. I really cannot wait to read more from him. Next up would probably be The Trial.

A necessary read for literature fans as it gets referenced over and over. A quick easy read with some interesting structure
