This was so dope!
It's a contemporary dystopian post-apocalypticy supernatural full-cast drama about humans vs vampires with all the sound effects that bring it to life and I loved it even if I did jump out of my skin at one point (be wary with headphones on lol). The characters were complex and interesting and I loved them. The main character sounded a bit like Jen from the IT crowd so I was casually imagining Jen as a bad-ass vampire slayer but that's fine lol. The plot was so engaging and vivid and emotional, I couldn't stop listening to it and I'm sad it was only about 5 hrs long but that's really all it needed to be a great whatever-it-is. It was like watching a Netflix series without having to be tied to staring at a screen. 10/10. So good. Would listen to something similar again.

Holy shit! I thoroughly enjoyed this book!! It was intense and kept me at the edge of my seat. We do what we think is best to protect those we love that sometimes it blinds us to their feelings and their hurt. I loved how these sisters each fought for what they believed in, even if it meant they were at odds.
I hope this isn’t the only book. I hope there is more to come. It’s like listening to a movie.. the slashes of swords, the whistle of arrows, the screeching of things not human. I was fully engrossed in this book.
