The story was interesting and is clearly the setup for the beginning of a series... but it felt like you're listening to a movie that's playing in the background. The sound effects were too much for what you'd expect from an audiobook.

4.5 ⭐️ This is one of those audiobooks that you’ll either love the experience or hate it. If you like a full audio cast with sound effects, give this a listen. I was immersed into the story. It felt like I was watching a post-apocalyptic, sci-fi, paranormal tv show but with my ears.

Well, I liked it, but I’m not out here craving the next season. I’m honestly kind of disappointed that Darcy and Felix decided on romantic feelings. There wasn’t anything vibrant about this audio drama, either in the writing or the format for me, so I might not continue with the series. Or i’ll wait till it’s done, since the reviews give a pretty clear picture that Season 2 is not the end and it’s a bit of a cliffhanger.
Honestly, if you want a post apocalyptic vampire story, I recommend you listen to Girl With All the Gifts by MR Carey. It’s miles above this.

This was another Amazon audio with an amazing cast. I heavily enjoyed this one, I felt like I was watching a TV show. It’s not a 5 stars because there are sometimes things I wish they’d describe a bit more/build on but overall I enjoyed this a lot. Will continue to season 2!
